University of Kent event and Q&A

UK Industrial Strategy: Understand how we build successful collaborations to ensure we maximise opportunities
Uni of Kent: UK Industrial Strategy and Collaboration - Knowledge factory

KSP is hosting a breakfast event arranged by Kent University organized by Simon Barnes – the details of which are below:

The UK Industrial Strategy was launched in 2017, up to then the UK was one of the few industrial countries not to have a strategy.

The focus of the Strategy is investment in and with industry to increase productivity and address four Grand Challenges for the UK; the AI and data revolution, the future of mobility, clean growth and healthy aging.

This breakfast briefing will enable you and your colleagues:

  • To learn more about the Strategy and why it is important to you as a business?
  • Understand how we build successful collaborations to ensure we maximise opportunities? – we will look at three areas of opportunity:
    • Human health and longevity
    • Data and artificial intelligence
    • The connection between food, health and the environment
  • How do we maintain momentum and increase engagement of the strategy in the region?

A number of short presentations will explain the above with the opportunity for discussion, including which other partners we can involve (including other universities) and how we increase the presence of the Strategy in the region
